NEWS:
We have recently made a major investment in a new CAD software platform
by committing all new projects to be developed in Revit Software.
Revit is a state of the art, building information modeling (BIM) program
that develops the work fully in a 3 dimensional model. It allows
clients to better understand the design as it evolves and to make more
informed decisions. The software also results in a well coordinated set
of documents as all the elements in the model are “linked” in 3
dimensions. We are able to generate interior perspectives and “fly
thru” video of any portion of the design at any time. The response from
our clients has been extremely positive!
RECENT
ASSIGNMENTS:
National
Assignments:
We continue to enjoy many assignments for Sprint with work in 16
states. Notable recent assignments include the Executive Offices for
the Chairman in Reston, VA, an Executive Briefing Center on the Avenue
of the Americas in Midtown Manhattan and the strategic analysis and
planning of Sprint’s 250,000 sf Atlanta Metro facilities.
LEED
Certified Projects:
We are nearing completion of two LEED certified projects. CB Richard
Ellis will soon occupy the second phase of their south east office
space which will become one of the first offices in their national
portfolio to achieve LEED certification. Gerald H Phipps has
recently occupied their new 40,000 sf headquarters which is also LEED
certified. We applaud the commitment of these clients for their
environmental stewardship.
Strategic
Planning Assignments:
Cabela’s,
the national sporting goods retailer, selected us to evaluate their long
term real estate needs for the headquarters facilities in Sydney
Nebraska. The work is nearing completion and is expected to lead to
implementation of the recommended strategies. The work encompasses
380,000 sf of facilities for their existing staff of 1200 as well as
expected growth to 2000 employees.
We are working with CoBiz Financial and evaluating their real
estate requirements inclusive of all the companies under the CoBiz
umbrella (120,000 sf). We are also under construction for a new branch
bank for Colorado Business Bank in Cherry Creek.
We are evaluating Sprint’s entire Atlanta Metro area real estate
requirements (250,000 sf) and assisting them in their strategic planning
for real estate needs in this market.
Law
Firm Planning:
We continue our long relationship with Sherman and Howard as we
assist them in evaluating their real estate options for their 150,000 sf
office. We are currently planning the 40,000 sf Townsend and
Townsend and Crew relocation, and continue to work with Shughart
Thomson and Kilroy as they evaluate relocation alternatives for
their 25,000 sf offices. We recently completed a major renovation of
the 60,000 sf offices for Baker and Hostetler. Extensive upgrades
to the public areas including a mock trial room were required. We also
completed expansion and renovation of the 20,000 sf offices for
Sheridan Ross which was designed to reflect the cutting edge nature
of their patent law practice while still referencing the stability and
history of this well known Denver law firm. We continue to work with
Holme Roberts and Owen on their Colorado Springs Library and
recently completed the expansion of their new, Denver records facility.
Other
Corporate Assignments:
We are working for George K Baum on the relocation of their
25,000 sf office facility which includes a trading room.

addition to their office space, the project includes sound testing rooms
to support their continued research.
We are working with ForeRunner on their 50,000 sf headquarters
relocation project. The company, which supports the oil and gas
industry, is experiencing extensive growth.
We
have been selected by Open Range Communications to help them
develop a new headquarters facility. This exciting new company is
developing internet communications for rural America. This is repeat
business for us as we have worked previously with the company’s CEO.
We have been selected by KRG Capital for their pending
relocation.
We are designing a significant lobby renovation for the Manville
Plaza Building for Glenborough Properties. The project
includes a new entry canopy and exterior signage, new lighting,

a new security desk, storefront and elevator cab renovations.

and Broadway (300,000 sf). Included are renovations to all public areas
including building lobbies and restrooms, a new elevator, major MEP
infrastructure upgrades, a new exterior plaza (and parking) and new

repositioning of this asset has led to success in the leasing and the
previously empty buildings are now almost fully leased!
We continue to work with Crescent Real Estate Equities and
Glenborough Properties on their Colorado buildings portfolio.

Mark West Energy Partners. We continue to work with Mark West as
they expand their facilities.

Tenant’s perspective.

large data center in addition to the office space requirements.

SUMMER
TRIP:
The
entire office (with spouses, friends, significant others etc.)
attended NEOCON last summer. We closed the office for a few
days of fun, camaraderie and education in Chicago. We took the
Amtrak Zephyr (with sleeper cars) and attended seminars, parties,
dinners and flew home. A good time was had by all! The
photo is in the Chicago train station.
