2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, an industry-leading provider of new home structural, systems, and appliance warranty coverage, was looking to relocate the company’s headquarters. The company identified a 74,000 square foot building for purchase in need of repair to house their 350 employees, conveniently located near RTD’s Iliff light rail station. To support the real estate sale, the Acquilano design team assisted with due diligence reports and later remodeled the property with new HVAC systems, new fire sprinkler systems, new restroom cores, new site parking striping, and a complete overhaul to the interiors.

Vertical elements like the exposed concrete column bring the eye up to accentuate the two-story volume. A random arrangement of solid wood baffles and linear LED lighting introduces interest without negating the purpose of the existing acoustical ceiling tile.
“The natural wood, exposed concrete, and bronze hardware accents were an abstract representation of materials found in residential home construction.” – Rachel Sivak, Acquilano
Pop of Color
To promote use of the internal fire stairs, Acquilano added quality lighting and an angular color block paint scheme for a lively experience. These inexpensive touches have HBW employees taking the stairs.
When able, the design capitalized in areas with access to increased ceiling heights and natural daylight. The extra efforts aren’t celebrated though their affects are felt.
